Claypool Traded To The Steelers After A Forgettable Season In Chicago

Chase Claypool's Disappointing Tenure with the Bears Ends

Claypool traded to the Steelers after a forgettable season in Chicago

Ryan Poles had high hopes for Chase Claypool when he traded for the wide receiver last year, but things didn't work out as planned. Claypool struggled to make an impact in Chicago, and his tenure with the Bears ended with a thud on Tuesday when he was traded back to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The trade is a fresh start for both Claypool and the Bears. Claypool will get a chance to reunite with his former quarterback, Kenny Pickett, while the Bears will get a draft pick in return.

Claypool's departure is a reminder that not all trades work out. The Bears gave up a second-round pick for Claypool, but he never lived up to expectations. He finished the season with just 31 catches for 343 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bears are now left with a big hole at wide receiver. They will need to find a replacement for Claypool before the start of the season.
