Mikey Varas, head coach of the United States Under-20 Men's Youth National Team, has announced the 21 players who will represent the United States at an upcoming international tournament. The tournament will be held in Indonesia from May 20 to June 11. The United States is in Group A along with Indonesia, Slovakia, and Uruguay.
The roster includes several players who have already made their mark at the international level. Midfielder Paxten Aaronson, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, has six caps for the senior national team. Defender Cade Cowell, who plays for the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer, has three caps for the senior team.
The United States is the defending champion of the tournament, having won the title in 2019. The team will be looking to repeat its success in Indonesia, and the players selected by Varas are confident that they can get the job done.
