Nuggets Sweep Lakers in Conference Finals
Nikola Jokic Dominates with Triple-Double Performance
The Denver Nuggets have punched their ticket to the NBA Finals after sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. The Nuggets claimed the series with a 113-98 victory in Game 4 on Monday night.
Nikola Jokic once again led the way for Denver, recording a triple-double with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. Jokic was unstoppable in the paint, shooting 12-of-20 from the field. He also grabbed 10 offensive rebounds, giving the Nuggets multiple opportunities to score.
The rest of the Nuggets' starting lineup also played well. Jamal Murray scored 24 points, while Aaron Gordon added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Will Barton and Monte Morris each added 10 points off the bench.
The Lakers were led by Anthony Davis, who scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. LeBron James struggled to find his rhythm, shooting just 7-of-20 from the field for 19 points. Russell Westbrook added 15 points and 6 assists, but he also had 6 turnovers.
The Nuggets now advance to the NBA Finals, where they will face the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat. The Heat defeated the Boston Celtics in six games to reach the Finals.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Thursday night in Denver.
